Is excluding a part using a statement of exclusion instead of 'illa' (except) valid?

Stating, 'This house is for Zayd, and this room is for me,' is valid because it carries the meaning of an exception, as it excludes a part that was encompassed by the initial affirmation through immediately following speech. Likewise, saying, 'I owe these slaves except this one,' or 'except one,' is valid, and the person affirms the liability for the rest. If the exception is made using an indefinite term, it is accepted because affirmation is valid even with an unknown item, and the specific identity of the excepted item reverts to the affirmant, as the ruling relates to his statement.
