The possessor is obliged to provide specification (bayan). If the possessor specifies one slave, and Zaid confirms this designation, Zaid takes that specified slave. If the possessor declares, "This one is mine, and the other slave belongs to Zaid," the possessor must then take an oath regarding the slave Zaid claims.
