How is lineage established when acknowledging the son of one's deceased son?

If someone acknowledges the son of their son, and that son is deceased, the conditions considered for acknowledging a brother apply. Similarly, if someone acknowledges an uncle (son of their grandfather), the rules previously mentioned are followed.
