Primary text
There are two narrations regarding the acceptance of a married woman's acknowledgment of a child. One view states that it is not accepted because it results in attributing the child's lineage to her husband without his acknowledgment, or it attaches shame to him by implying his wife gave birth to a child from another man.

The second narration states that it is accepted because she is an individual acknowledging a child that might potentially be hers, similar to a man's acknowledgment.
