Does mutual acknowledgment and subsequent confirmation establish marital rights and inheritance between spouses after the death of one party?

If a man acknowledges a woman as his wife, or a woman acknowledges a man as her husband, and the acknowledged party only confirms the relationship after the death of the initial acknowledger, the other party inherits. This is because both the acknowledgment and the confirmation are established together. This view is narrated from Abu Al-Khattab.
