What is the ruling if a master tells his slave, 'I sold you for one thousand,' and the slave denies owing the price?

Primary text
If the master tells his slave, 'I sold you for one thousand,' and the slave denies it, the slave is freed (*itq*), and the master receives nothing. This is because the emancipation (*itq*) is separate and valid apart from the consideration (the price). This ruling applies whether the denial of receiving the price is stated immediately following the sale claim or after a pause.
