If the creditor specifies the nature of the debt in one admission and leaves the other unspecified, two dirhams are due. This is because the unspecified admission might refer to a debt distinct from the specified one; the debtor might have stated it generally at one point and specified it at another. If the debtor describes the debt with the same attribute in both admissions, it serves as emphasis (Ta'kid) supporting the view that only one debt exists. However, if the description differs between the two admissions (e.g., 'a dirham for the price of a sale' and then 'a dirham for a loan,' or 'a white dirham' and then 'a black dirham'), then two distinct dirhams are due because the described items are mutually exclusive (mutaghayiran).
