Is agency permissible in bearing testimony (Shahadah)?

Agency is invalid in bearing testimony because testimony relates specifically to what the witness personally saw or heard, a meaning that cannot be realized through a proxy. If someone appoints a proxy in testimony, the proxy becomes a witness to the testimony of the original witness, as they are merely relaying what they heard from the primary witness, not acting as an agent.
