General Chapter
Al-Mughni
Book of Agency
Primary text
The authorization given by a creditor to his debtor to discharge the creditor's right against himself (the debtor) is valid. This is because the debtor is authorized to waive a right belonging to another person (the creditor) concerning himself, which is analogous to a slave being authorized to emancipate himself.
