Primary text

If the principal apostatizes, the agency remains valid concerning matters in which the agent has the authority to act. However, concerning matters related to the principal's own property, the validity of the agency depends on the ruling regarding the validity of the apostate principal's own transactions. If the principal's transactions are deemed valid, the agency stands; if the principal's transactions are deemed suspended (Mawquf), the agency is suspended; and if the principal's transactions are deemed void, the agency is voided.
