Primary text

There is no known dispute regarding the permissibility of appointing an agent in selling and buying. This permissibility is established due to necessity, as one might lack skill in transacting, be unable to travel to the marketplace, possess wealth unsuitable for personal management, lack the time for trade, or find engaging in trade inappropriate due to social standing, such as being a woman or someone whose reputation would suffer. The Law permits this to alleviate need and secure the benefit of humankind created for worship.

Supporting text

The supporting evidence for agency in sale and purchase has previously been established through Quranic verses and Prophetic narrations.
