Primary text

It is valid to appoint an agent for another in everything one can claim personally, provided that delegation is permissible for that matter.

Supporting text

An openly sinful person (Fasiq) is an exception regarding accepting marriage contracts (Qabul), as he may accept it for himself, though the opinion of Al-Qadi suggests he cannot accept it on behalf of another; the standard reasoning supports the latter view being permissible.
