Primary text

This situation is treated similarly to the preceding one, and according to the view of Al-Qadi (Ibn Rushd/Ibn al-Qasim, depending on context, here referring to a specific jurist), the purchase is valid for the principal. However, consideration must be given to whether the principal suffers harm, such as detriment from the cash remaining in the agent's possession; if there is harm, the transaction is not permissible, following the established rule in related matters.
