How is the ruling determined if the agent responds with ambiguous denial after testimony establishing agency?

Book of Agency
Primary text
If the agent states, 'I did not know,' and remains silent, he must clarify his meaning. If he clarifies that he was unaware previously, his agency is established based on the principle that acceptance can be subsequent. If he clarifies that he means he is currently unaware (in a way that contradicts the witnesses), then the agency is not established.
