Does an apostate acquire ownership (*milk*) over things acquired through means such as hunting, gathering fuel, finding discarded items, purchasing, or hiring himself out (exclusively or jointly)?
General Chapter
Al-Mughni
Book of the Apostate
Primary text
Ownership is established for the apostate over items acquired through means such as hunting (*sayd*), gathering fuel (*ihtitash*), finding discarded items (*iltihab*), purchasing, or hiring himself out, whether exclusively or jointly, because he is considered capable of holding ownership. Consequently, his acquired properties are also established.
Supporting text
Those who maintain that the apostate's ownership is void state that ownership does not become established for him because he is not deemed fit to hold ownership. This is the reason why his previously established properties are deemed nullified.
