Primary text

It is necessary that one who mocks God Almighty be disciplined with a chastisement that deters them from such action, and their mere profession of Islam is not sufficient. This is analogous to the ruling for one who insults the Messenger of God (peace be upon him), where repentance alone is deemed insufficient; therefore, the penalty for insulting God Almighty is more severe.
