Muhammad ibn Sirin, when asked about a woman afflicted by sorcerers, heard a suggestion involving drawing a line, plunging a knife at the meeting point of the line, and reciting the Qur'an. Muhammad ibn Sirin affirmed that he had no reservation whatsoever concerning the recitation of the Qur'an, but he expressed ignorance regarding the act of drawing lines and using a knife.
