How does the ruling on guaranteeing liability differ from the ruling concerning the loan (Ariyah) of an item?
Chapter on Guarantee (Daman)

Book of Assignment (Transfer of Debt)
Primary text
The situation of guaranteeing liability is differentiated from the loan of an item because the owner of the loaned item suffers harm from the continued retention of the benefits of their borrowed slave. Therefore, the owner gains the right to demand whatever removes that harm, whereas the guarantor, by undertaking the guarantee, does not cause any of their own benefits to cease.
