An absolute bequest (wasiyyah mutlaqah) is valid. This occurs when a person states, for instance, 'If I die, two-thirds shall go to the poor,' or 'to Zayd.' This type of bequest remains valid regardless of subsequent events. The juristic position is that it is valid, consistent with the general principle that Muslims adhere to their conditions, as evidenced by the Prophet's saying, 'Muslims are bound by their conditions.'
