Primary text

The bequest is validly entrusted to a blind person. This is supported by the fact that he is qualified for testimony and has authority in marriage contracts and guardianship over his minor children, making him analogous to a sighted person. He can also delegate tasks in matters of transaction.

Some companions of Al-Shafi'i held an opposing view, suggesting it is invalid based on the premise that his buying and selling transactions are invalid, thus lacking the capacity for executorship. This is not accepted.
