Primary text
A bequest is validly entrusted to a sane, free, just, Muslim man by consensus (Ijma'). This is because the entrusted person must be one capable of managing his own affairs to manage the affairs of others. The evidence supporting the general principles of capability and trust is derived from the nature of executorship, which requires fitness similar to that for giving testimony.
