Primary text
Using algebraic resolution, one can set up an equation where the estate minus the fixed bequests equals the remaining portion designated for the heirs. By systematically accounting for the assigned portions (a fixed share, half of the remainder of the one-third, and one-fourth of the whole estate), the value of one specific share can be determined, and subsequently, the total estate value. If the resolution yields fractions, the entire result must be multiplied by two to eliminate the fraction and yield the final whole number estate value.
