Primary text
If the son leaves ten and the master possesses five, it is determined that a portion of the slave was freed, and a corresponding portion of the father's *Walaa* transfers. The master receives a portion of the son's inheritance along with his five, totaling two shares. The remainder of the ten is distributed between the master and the mother's master equally. This signifies that half of the slave was freed, and the master received one-fifth of his son's inheritance, in addition to the five he already held, which equals the value of the portion of the slave that was freed.
