Primary text
If one son consents to the bequests and the other two sons reject them, the consenting son receives one-sixth of the total estate (equivalent to three parts out of eighteen). The two sons who rejected receive four-ninths of the estate (equivalent to eight parts). The remaining seven parts (out of 54) are divided among the three beneficiaries mentioned in the bequest, calculated by multiplying seven by eighteen to establish the common denominator of fifty-four.
