What is the distribution of the slave's estate if the slave leaves a son?
General Chapter

Book of Bequests
Primary text
If the manumitted slave leaves a son, the son inherits a share of the manumitted's body (his remaining status as a slave, if partial manumission occurred) and a share of his earnings. The master has two shares. The estate of ten is divided into three parts: the son receives one-third, and the master receives two-thirds. This signifies that one-third of the slave is determined to have been freed.
