If a father approves his son's bequest or gift made during his final illness, the father is permitted to revoke that approval if the ruling adopted is that the approval constitutes a fresh gift (a 'attyya mubtada'a).

Revocation is not permissible if the adopted ruling considers the approval merely as an act of pure implementation (tanfidh).
