Who inherits or benefits when a testator bequeaths to his 'walad' (offspring) or 'walad Fulan' (offspring of so-and-so)?

When a bequest is made to 'his offspring' or 'the offspring of so-and-so,' it encompasses males, females, and those of indeterminate gender without dispute. This universality is based on the meaning of the name covering all, supported by Quran 4:11, regarding inheritance concerning offspring, and Quran 23:91, which negates the taking of a child (both male and female).
