Primary text
If the son dies during his father's lifetime before the master's death, leaving wealth, and a ruling establishes the father's full or partial manumission, the son's wealth is inherited by the son's heirs if the son was free, or in proportion to the extent of freedom if he was partially free. The father's master inherits nothing from the son.
