Is it permissible to grant compensation (Ja'l) to the executor of a will (Wasi)?

It is permissible to assign a specific payment, known as Ja'l, to the executor of the will. This ruling is based on the analogy that executing a will is equivalent to a legal agency (Wikalat), which is valid when compensation is involved. Ishaq ibn Ibrahim transmitted that there is no issue if a man bequeaths his estate to someone and stipulates a specified sum of money for the executor.
