There are two interpretations regarding the bequest of 'one camel' (ba'eer). One view holds that it exclusively refers to the male camel because, in common usage, the term specifically denotes the male. The second view holds that it encompasses both the male and the female because, in the Arabic language, the term includes both sexes. This linguistic inclusion is evidenced by the Arab usage of saying 'I milked the ba'eer' (halabtu al-ba'eer), intending the female (naqah). In their language, the jiml is analogous to the human male (al-rajul), and the naqah is analogous to the human female (al-mar'ah), similarly, the baqra is like the young woman (al-fatat), and the qalus and ba'eer are like the human being (al-insan).
