What is the order of preference after the descendants?
General Chapter
Al-Mughni
Book of Bequests
Primary text
After the descendants, the next in line are the grandfathers, prioritizing the nearest, as they represent the second main pillar of lineage. Following them are the brothers and sisters, as they are descendants of the father or the mother. Then their children, no matter how far removed. If it is determined that the descendants of sisters are not included, then the descendants of brothers (nephews/nieces) receive nothing.
Supporting text
When descendants reach the same degree, preference is given to those related through both parents over those related through only one parent, and individuals related through the father and those related through the mother are treated equally, as are their respective descendants.
