What is the ruling if the deceased leaves assets equal to four times the value of the slave woman?

In this scenario, her manumission, marriage, and dowry are all valid according to all scholars. This is because the manumission is covered within the one-third allowance from the estate. Our companions and Abu Hanifa hold that she inherits from the remainder. Al-Shafi'i maintains she does not inherit. This latter view is consistent with the position of Al-Khiraqi, as her inheritance would constitute a bequest to an heir, and a bequest is considered effective only upon death.
