What is the ruling regarding a bequest (*wasiyyah*) made concerning an existing asset (*asl al-mawjud*)?

When a bequest is made regarding an existing asset, the existence of that asset is to be considered at the time of the bequest, just as the existence of a fetus (*haml*) of a female slave to whom a bequest is made is considered. The point of validity for the bequest regarding the fetus is determined by the same standard that establishes its existence in other legal rulings.
