Primary text
It is permissible for a testator to appoint two executors for a single matter, granting each the authority to act independently, by stating, 'I appoint each of you to act individually.' This is because such a statement establishes each individual as an independent executor, implying individual authority for disposition. This view is undisputed in the two cases where independent action is specified or joint action is specified.
