What is the legal consequence for a man who kills another man caught in the act of adultery with his wife?

Primary text
There is no retribution (Qisas) or blood money (Diyya) due upon the killer. This ruling is supported by the precedent set by Umar, who excused the killer upon confirmation that the man was caught with his wife, stating, 'If they do it again, then you do it.' This implies the killing was justified under the circumstances of finding the act committed. Furthermore, if the wife was complicit in the adultery, there is no liability upon the husband; however, if she was coerced, retribution is due upon him.
