Primary text
If a large, sane person willingly consents to the removal of a limb afflicted with *Akalah* (gangrene), the cutter incurs no liability (no *diyah* or *qisas*). If the cutting was performed under compulsion, the cutting and its ensuing consequences (*sarayah*) are subject to *Qisas* (retaliation), regardless of whether the cutter was a ruler (*Imam*) or someone else, because this surgical act leads to destruction.
