The prescribed punishment (*hadd*) is obligatory if one administers an intoxicant via nasal insufflation. This is because it conveys the substance to the interior of the body through the throat pathway, which is why the prohibition regarding fostering through milk does not extend to administration via enema (which bypasses this pathway).
