Is an admission of intentional homicide followed by a statement of pardon for retribution (*qisas*) valid based only on the testimony of one man and two women?
Chapter on Qasamah (Oaths regarding murder)

Primary text
An admission of intentional homicide followed by a declaration of pardon for *qisas* is not accepted if supported only by the testimony of one man and two women. This is because pardon applies only to a right that has been established, and intentional homicide is not established with that specific testimony for the purpose of validating the pardon. If the homicide is established either through the testimony of two men or by the confession of the accused, the pardon is valid.
