Book of Blood-Money (Diyyāt)
Primary text
If a person claims the loss of their sense of smell, verification is made by testing with pleasant or foul odors. If the claimant reacts to the pleasant odor but denies the foul one, the statement of the injurer, accompanied by their oath, is accepted. If no distinction is shown, the statement of the injured party is accepted, similar to disagreements concerning hearing.
