Bodily injuries are classified into two main types: Shijaj (injuries to the head or face) and injuries to the rest of the body. Injuries to the rest of the body are further divided into two categories: amputation of a limb and severance of flesh. Damages also cover the deprivation of function, such as the loss of hearing, sight, or intellect.
