What compensation is due if the retribution for cutting part of a tongue results in less speech loss for the aggressor than the original injury?

If the retaliation results in the aggressor losing less speech than what was lost by the victim, the injured party is entitled to the blood money (Diyah) corresponding to the remaining portion of the injury, because the full equivalent for the original harm was not realized through the retaliation.
