What happens if the sense of smell returns after compensation has been paid?

If the sense of smell is lost and then returns before the blood money is taken, the Diyah obligation lapses. If it returns after the blood money has been taken, the recipient must return it because it becomes clear that the sense of smell was not permanently lost.
