What is the legal ruling if a tooth turns green due to injury?
Chapter on Diyat (Blood Money) for Wounds

Book of Blood-Money (Diyyāt)
Primary text
There are two possibilities regarding a tooth turning green. It may be considered equivalent to a tooth turning black because it results in the loss of its aesthetic quality. Alternatively, only a discretionary assessment (*hukumat*) is due, because the loss of aesthetic quality from turning black is more severe, and thus, turning green is not treated the same as turning black (which resembles turning red in this context where only *hukumat* is due).
