If the perpetrator stitches the wound, and another person cuts the stitches, re-inserts the knife into the wound before it has healed, that second perpetrator is subject to a more severe discretionary chastisement than the first, must pay the cost of the thread and the fee for the stitching, but he is not liable for the diya of a penetrating wound because he did not inflict one.
