What is the penalty for inserting and then withdrawing a knife into an existing penetrating wound?

If the perpetrator inserts the knife into the penetrating wound and then withdraws it without causing further injury, he is subject to discretionary chastisement (ta'zir), but no partial indemnity (arsh) is due.
