Responsibility for blood money (Diyya) when a Jew converts to Christianity or a Christian converts to Judaism, assuming the conversion is not accepted (La Yuqarr).

Book of Blood-Money (Diyyāt)
Primary text
If the conversion is not accepted, no one is responsible for their blood money. This is because such an individual is treated like an apostate (Murtad). The apostate has no responsible party for their Diyya because they are not considered Muslim, so Muslims cannot claim responsibility, nor are they Dhimmi, so the Dhimmi cannot claim responsibility. Consequently, any liability stemming from their actions falls upon their personal estate (Mal).
