Responsibility for blood money (Diyya) when a Jew converts to Christianity or a Christian converts to Judaism, assuming the conversion is accepted (Iqrar).

Book of Blood-Money (Diyyāt)
Primary text
If a Jew converts to Christianity or a Christian converts to Judaism, and it is accepted that the individual remains liable for their actions within the new faith, the responsibility for their blood money (Diyya) falls upon their relatives (Asaba) who belong to the religion the individual has moved to. Evidence for this principle is established by analogy to the ruling concerning those who maintain their obligations within a recognized religious grouping.
Supporting text
There are two differing opinions regarding whether those who remain in the religion the individual departed from are still responsible for their Diyya.
