What is the ruling if the injury causes the loss of semen (Ma'u) but not the ability to have intercourse?

It is held that a Diyah is obligatory, as narrated from Mujahid. This is also the view supported by some companions of Al-Shafi'i, as the loss involves an intended function, similar to the loss of intercourse ability or the loss of both testicles.
