Primary text

If an injury causes a tooth to become loose (*idhtarrabat*) and displaced, one must wait. If the tooth eventually falls out, full compensation (*diyya*) for the tooth is obligatory. If the tooth returns to its original state, there is no liability, analogous to an injury to a hand that causes sickness followed by recovery. If the tooth remains loose after the waiting period, compensation is determined by judicial appraisal (*hukuma*).
