What is the ruling for one who swears some oaths, becomes insane, and then recovers?
Chapter on Qasamah (Oaths regarding murder)

Primary text
If an individual swears some oaths, subsequently loses sanity, and then regains it, they must complete the remaining oaths. The initial oaths remain valid, and a complete recommencement is not obligatory because the prior oaths took effect properly. This situation differs from death because death makes completion impossible by the person themselves, and others cannot build upon the deceased's oath. Since the person can complete the oaths upon recovery, the interval of insanity does not invalidate them. This is analogous to a situation where a judge begins administering oaths, becomes occupied elsewhere, and the person subsequently completes them without invalidation.
